Klondike 2022

The annual Klondike Derby in the National Capital Area Council (NCAC) is a winter-themed competition where Boy Scout troops from across the region come together to test their outdoor skills, teamwork, and Scouting knowledge. Inspired by the historical Klondike Gold Rush, Scouts pull sleds through a series of stations, competing in activities like fire building, first aid, orienteering, and knot tying—all while braving the winter elements. It’s a fun and challenging event that promotes camaraderie, leadership, and the spirit of adventure, helping Scouts develop resilience and problem-solving skills in real-life scenarios.
